Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH)

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada’s largest mental health and addiction hospital, located in the heart of downtown Toronto, providing specialized care for individuals experiencing mental illness, substance use concerns, or both.

Emergency Department: CAMH’s 24/7 Emergency Department provides urgent psychiatric assessments and crisis intervention for individuals experiencing a mental health or addiction crisis. Patients are assessed by a specialized team (Psychiatrist, social worker, nurse) and connected with the most appropriate level of care, including immediate inpatient admission.

Inpatient Care: CAMH offers inpatient programs for individuals who require around-the-clock treatment and support in a safe, therapeutic environment. Care is provided by a multidisciplinary team with personalized treatment plans.

Outpatient Services: CAMH provides ongoing outpatient care through psychiatric consultations, therapy, medication management, and specialized mental health and addiction programs, helping individuals continue their recovery while living in the community.
